My name is Mrs. Ward and I am so excited about being your teacher. This is going to be a fantastic year of growing and learning together in Room 28!
I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. My favorite color is purple and my favorite animals are elephants and whales. I enjoy swimming, gardening, and playing tennis. I also love reading books and poems.
I live with my family in Evanston. I have 8 year-old twins named Owen and Lauren who are entering third grade this year and a 5 year-old son named Justin who is starting Kindergarten! We also have two cats and lots of fish. As you might imagine, we have a lot of fun at our house!

This is a picture of me and my family. I look forward to meeting you at our Open House on Tuesday, August 20th. If you have your school supplies ready, you can bring them in that day. We have community supplies in our class, so there’s no need to individually label your items. If you purchased the supply pack it will already be in the classroom.
I know this is going to be a great school year. I can’t wait to meet you!
