Hello Team Ward Parents,
January was a great month for our team. Ms. Wu, a student teacher, joined our team and is doing a fabulous job getting to know the students. February is extremely busy for Team Ward and Sprague School! This week we celebrated the 100th day of school. The children had a blast wearing their crowns, counting to 100 in the hallway, and doing many "100th day" activities in our classroom. Next week we are going to learn about Chinese New Year and begin our "School Helpers" social studies unit. We'll learn about and interview different people at Sprague, including the custodian, secretary, principal, and nurse, to learn more about their roles. We will finish up our nonfiction writing unit by sharing our "Chapter books" about blue whales with second grade and kindergarten classes. We're also celebrating valentines day in our classroom on Friday, February 12th! Please read the letter that I sent home for more information on how to get ready for this special day.
Here is a list of other important dates this month.
