We had a great trip to the Raupp Museum last week! The children learned a bit about farm life 100 years ago in Buffalo Grove. They also extended their learning about needs and wants. Next we are beginning our nonfiction writing unit. The children are picking topics that they know a lot about and learning how to organize their ideas. We're also reading many nonfiction books so we can understand the purpose of nonfiction features such as headings, table of contents, photographs, labels, captions, and glossary.
